Aida Design Update by Cor104 Aida Design Update by Cor104
I'm into AIDA again! This is more of me conceptualizing how the characters would look animated! :D

At this point in the story Aida has become favored by the princess Amneris and therefore is given nicer clothes and even jewelry to wear. She is starting to embrace Egyptian culture (note eye make-up.) She also is realizing that she cannot let down the other Nubian slaves who look to her as their leader.

I love how you conceptualize Aida. You totally got me into watching it and now I play the soundtrack every few days. I wish Disney had gone through with making it into a movie.

I've always wanted to know more about this play, but never really got the chance to do so. Nevertheless, I love this picture!

Wonderful design on Aida's clothes and the intensity of her eyes as well.:)

Thank you very much! For me the eyes should be her strongest feature, they should be very expressive. :)

This is wonderful, I love it. One of the best version of Aida so far. :thanks: I'm pretty sure if Disney really did this story, they would change the original ending where she....errr...well, let's just say they'll "sugar-coat" it. ^^;

Thank you very much! I hope they wouldn't change the ending...there's really no other way to end it. Which is why I think Disney decided not to go through with and animated feature...at the time.

You're probably right, but you know Disney...anything to "sugar-coat" and make money. Look what they did with The Little Mermaid. The original story certainly didn't end like that. ^^;

They'll probably stick to live action for their darker or more mature products. If they did animate this, they'd probably package it as Touchstone, ala Nightmare Before Christmas.
